100 Word Challenge – Week #31

This week’s exciting challenge from Mrs Skinner and BrainPop

As I told you last week, the Brain Pop team have asked to provide a prompt. We are so honoured because they have made an animation just for 100WC! Animations take a lot of time and careful work so Thank You Brain Pop.

So, we have Tim and Moby in the jungle, with some cheeky animals and a surprise! You have 100 words to write a creative piece.

Finally, do make sure you go and visit other entries here. Teachers please comment on some especially if you don’t do your own class!

Survival Part 3

Here is the third installment of Survival. Can I please ask you to comment on my earlier installments, (1st & 2nd are here ) they have received next to no comments (Sad Face).

It is covered in ivy, the clingy sort that’s really hard to get off. I chuck Alexia the cheese, blanket and crackers. Carefully, I pick off the ivy. It hugs the tree, reluctant to leave. After a while, Alexia joins me. She strips the bark, finding it surprisingly easy. Within minutes, we’re finished.

“K.T, I’m hungry. Pwease can I have some cheese and crackers?” Alexia whines. I agree, allowing her and myself a cracker and a wedge of cheese each.

Soon, a shiver runs down my spine. I check on Alexia – she’s sleeping, wrapped in the blanket like a glow worm – then climb down the tree in order to start a fire. I gather a load of twigs, pile them up and try and create a spark. It takes a while, but I manage it. I huddle up to the fire, frantically rubbing my hands. Once I’ve warmed up, I sneak back up the tree.

To my surprise, I find Alexia. Awake. Eating the rest of the cheddar. I’m horrified. Seeming to lose control of my actions, I slap her round the face. She gasps. Immediately, she bursts into tears, screaming in pain. She jumps down from the tree, kicks over my old fire and shouts “I HATE YOU!” while she stomps off.
“ Well, I HATE YOU TOO!” I shout in reply. Then I completely change. I realise something massive. I’ve just let a seven year old stamp off by herself – with no food,water or warmth. I’ve let her run into the clutches of certain death…

Hi!! For the people who watched Britians Got Talent, are you happy that Ashleigh and Pudsey won? I am!!!! They were really good however I did think that Charlotte and Johnathan was going to win. What did you think??? Please comment to tell me on what you thought of Britians got Talent this year - I thought It was brilliant myself. Who do you think deserved to win??

A few years ago there lived an inquisitive young boy called Tom. He loved animals so much. Later he was going to watch birds. Tom had done a lot of things today. Tom was tired so he had a rest. Instantly Tom fell asleep. Six hours later, Tom woke. “Hmmm now what do I need? Oh yes” He got everything he needed for bird watching. What Tom did not know was it was 10:00 and everybody else was in bed asleep. So he went down stairs and it was pitch black. Tom was disappointed! He said he would do it tomorrow. But will he sleep?

Once upon a time amongst the evil castle of Ashterville, thick green smoke bellowed around the rusty metal cauldron. Spike, the deadly red dragon with yellow spikes, stirred the bubbling lime acid around the bowl. Smells of stinky socks and cheddar cheese swiftly made way to everyone’s nose. However this was only the template brew.

“Hmm…” thought Spike, “now what do I need?” He picked out a pot of saliva from an old pet he used to have, and poured it in. After that he added a drop of poisonous red food colouring. A large cloud of smoke appeared instantly.
